CSIT 155 Week One Blog

Originally I wanted to go with something simple. I wanted to have just one solid color for my template so that there inst too much distraction. I also had to keep in mind that I needed to stand out just a little. I went with the trees and pink because I think they compliment each other nicely People get distracted fairly easy when browsing. It is important not to make things too complicated. If a site is hard to navigate or is hard on the eyes they will leave and not even bother reading what you have to say. Week 2 Assignment

All social media is geared towards personal use. Some of them have more of a community base interaction while others are more one on one level.Twitter does a great job of this. When it comes down to business, there are some social media that are more effective.  The first one that comes to mind is Facebook.  Instagram is also famous for promotions, but the one I think people forget about is Snapchat. All of these social medias work well for both but some are more suitable than others for business. Twitter I think is the one least likely to promote anything. On Facebook post reach is exactly what it sounds like. It is how many people saw your posts. It is important to note that even though someone might have seen your post multiple times the results of how many people have reached your posts will still be counted as a one. Post engagement is when a Facebook user actually likes, shares, or comments on your posts. It is important to know the difference because if you are running a Facebook page it is important to make sure your goal is post engagement. Post engagement plays a important role in Facebook's logarithm of what it shows its users.
