All social media is geared towards personal use. Some of them have more of a community base interaction while others are more one on one level.Twitter does a great job of this. When it comes down to business, there are some social media that are more effective.  The first one that comes to mind is Facebook.  Instagram is also famous for promotions, but the one I think people forget about is Snapchat. All of these social medias work well for both but some are more suitable than others for business. Twitter I think is the one least likely to promote anything. Twitter has so many tweets going out that some posts get lost. This is due to the fact that it is only 140 characters. Sometimes twitter is just treated like a diary to post and not really read. Originally I wanted to go with something simple. I wanted to have just one solid color for my template so that there inst too much distraction. I also had to keep in mind that I needed to stand out just a little. I went with the trees and pink because I think they compliment each other nicely People get distracted fairly easy when browsing. It is important not to make things too complicated. If a site is hard to navigate or is hard on the eyes they will leave and not even bother reading what you have to say. I have worked in retail I know that little things like the colors and music matter to the shoppers. The same way you run a business it he same way you should run a blog. Lastly when your blog is being talked about it is important that it something that the viewers can remember. I named my blog after me not only because the professor asked but because it's mine.
